In the excitement of competition, it is easy to forget that the purpose of having events like the Holiday Tournament has little to do with winning or losing basketball games.  Rather, the tournament’s aim is to provide a learning environment for fair play, sportsmanship, respect for others, loyalty and honesty.  It is with this spirit that we host tournaments and are delighted to bring back the Holiday Tournament the event has been sold out in the past.

HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT IS BACK

Welcome to the 11th Annual Holiday Basketball Tournament. This tournament has been one of the best holiday tournament in northern New Jersey in the past. The quality of this tournament in previous years has been tremendous. In the excitement of competition, it is easy to forget that the purpose of having events like the Holiday Tournament has little to do with winning or losing basketball games. Rather, the tournament’s aim is to provide a learning environment for fair play, sportsmanship, respect for others, loyalty and honesty. It is with this spirit that we host tournaments and are delighted to bring back the Holiday Tournament the event has been sold out in the past.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

All teams at all levels will play in a pool play tournament. Each team is guaranteed 2+ games

TEAM LEVEL

This year’s tournament, as with previous tournaments will include A, B, and C teams for Boys and Girls 3rd through 8th grades.

LOCATION

The Holiday Tournaments will be held on (Christmas) December 21st & 22nd / (New Year’s) December 28th & 29th. The gym locations will be at The House of Sports 14 Park Lake Rd Sparta, New Jersey 07871 & Pope John High School 28 Andover Rd, Sparta, New Jersey 07871
