Let me take you back to my senior year at St. Bonaventure University. I was on the verge of achieving my NBA dream, projected as a second-round pick. But then, life threw me a curveball—a knee injury that kept me out of the pre-draft camps.

“I suffered a knee injury. And just like that, I couldn’t participate in the pre-draft camps.”

This was a pivotal moment for me. I had a solid job offer with a company in NYC for $65,000 salary, which seemed like the sensible path to many. But deep down, I wasn’t ready to give up on basketball. I chose to see this setback as a setup for a comeback. I decided to bet on myself, embracing the injury as an opportunity to prepare even more. This choice not only shaped my career but also reinforced the power of a positive attitude.
